2025
For several years, I have explored together with MESTIZX public space as a political space. We create artistic formats that emerge from specific local contexts and respond to their realities. In 2025, we expanded this work to the digital space, asking what perspectives and needs migrant women in Berlin can bring to it.
We invited artists and coaches to bring new ideas. Valeria Schwarz worked with us on feminist mapping. Santiago Blaum led performance-choir workshops. Natasha Borenko, Sharon Kluth and Lidiia Golovanova offered self-defence and performance training. And Chaska Stern guided awareness practices that supported the group’s reflective work.
The meetings were open to all FLINTA migrants, and over time a stable group formed, creating trust and closeness. As the process unfolded, participants were able to try out different roles and ways of working together. The public library in Buch played a key role by providing a safe space for artistic experimentation, community care, and collective learning.
