LUCILA GUICHÓN

Born in Buenos Aires, based in Berlin.
Lucila Guichón is an artist, artistic producer, and educator, and the founder of MESTIZX in Berlin. She works at the intersection of performance, visual arts, and cultural research, collaborating on theater, participatory art projects, and festivals. Her work explores the contemporary urban environment as both a laboratory and a stage for artistic creation.

With extensive experience in project design, production, and coordination, she has worked with theaters, museums, cultural institutions, and independent artists across Europe and Latin America. She founded MESTIZX in 2020, building on her trajectory with Mestizo Collectief (powered by Mestizx Arts Platform) in Belgium, where she has been active since 2006. Through these platforms, she develops artistic strategies that engage with cultural transformation and participatory processes.

She has coordinated projects such as: TOUR2024, AUDIOTHEKA, MEHR-SPRACH-ICH, Parkour in Pankow, Altar Berlin, Out of The Ring . Additionally, she has participated in projects including: Proximamente Festival, Mestizo Arts Festival, Mijn Dagelijkse Portie Kunst, Studio Urbanization, MAFfe Vrijdagen, MURAL, MAPping Antwerpen, De Mensen Maken de Stad, WIPCOOP, Versus.

She has collaborated with institutions such as: HETMAS Museum, KVS Flemish City Theatre, HETPALEISm Theatre BallhausOst, Osten Festival, Arenberg Theatre, La Conquesta del Pol Sud, Foto Museum Antwerp, Murga Belgium, MOOOV, De Mensen Maken de Stad, Nieto Sobejano Berlin, HAU Berlin.
